Submissions for the 2011 Adelaide Cabaret Festival are now open. Please be advised that as a strictly curated festival submissions are an expression of interest only – not a guarantee of selection.
Before you apply, we would encourage you to look at the 2009 and 2010 festival programs in order to gauge the standard of acts chosen by our Artistic Director in the past.
Submissions will close at 5pm, Friday December 10th with strictly no late entries accepted. All submissions will receive email notification upon being received by the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, however only successful entries will be notified by no later than Wednesday December 22nd. Due to the high number of submissions entered, we are regrettably not able to provide feedback on entries.
It is requested that ALL submissions are entered electronically via email. If we require further information in hard copy we will contact you. Please do not send large files such as mp3s or images – if online links are not available, please advise that further information is available upon request.
All submissions will require the following information in order to be considered:
• Name of artist/s or group performing
• All show credits – name of director, musical director, composer/s, etc.
• A short outline of the show being submitted – content, style, structure.
• Suggested image for show and/or images of artist/s involved.
• Details of previous showings of work in question – dates, venues, press quotes.
• If work is yet to be previewed, are you in discussions with any other venues/promoters?
• Relevant links, such as website, YouTube videos, MySpace sites, etc.
• Contact details for ONE chosen representative on behalf of artist/s or group.
