Classroom Cabaret OH MY GOD I'M BLACK!

Featuring Maryanne Sam and Peter Rotumah

A show - and story - of two worlds. Island princesses. Absent fathers. Black girls in white bedrooms singing into hairbrushes, dreaming of a place in the sun.

Oh My God I'm Black! recounts the powerful and charming story of an island woman's journey all the way south to 'cold, miserable Melbourne', the birth of her two children, their upbringing by their white grandmother, and their long road back to connect with their family, culture and community.

A unique and innovative children's entertainer, Gillian Eastoe has two ABC albums to her credit, and has performed in the ABC for Kids live shows. Gillian improvises her way through a range of musical styles.
