National Pharmacies - Something on Saturday

In 2000, National Pharmacies developed a partnership with the Adelaide Festival Centre and its unique winter arts program for young children and their families called Something on Saturday.

Each year the partnership develops and enables both organisations to meet specific objectives aligned with a shared target market and a shared desire to enrich the quality of life for South Australian families.

In 2007 the program achieved its greatest result with an attendance of over 15,500 children and their families from 19 May – 25 August.

This partnership has ensured Something on Saturday’s future.  The program would not be able to continue so successfully without the financial support of National Pharmacies.

Approximately 72,000 children have been exposed to cultural and creative activity at an early age over the last eight years.  Involvement in the arts is a vital part of growing up, ensuring that the next generation are creative thinkers and contribute in a more meaningful way to the community.

The Adelaide Festival Centre and National Pharmacies successfully achieved an AbaF Nomination as a National Finalist for the Bytecraft Entertainment Commitment Award in 2007.
