The Adelaide Park Lands Act 2005 states that each State authority (as defined under the Act) must prepare a management plan within two years after adoption of the Adelaide Park Lands Management Strategy. That strategy ‘Towards 2020’, prepared by the Adelaide Park Lands Authority, has now been adopted.

As the Adelaide Festival Centre falls under the care and control of the Minister for the Arts, Arts SA has developed a draft Management Plan that outlines the existing purpose of the Festival Centre and its important role in preserving the park lands for the benefit of present and future generations.

Public consultation is invited in February 2012. Copies of the draft Management Plan can be found here. All comments can be made to Arts SA at the contact details below. A Public meeting will be held at the end of the consultation period.
