Founded by dance wunderkinds Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, Complexions Contemporary Ballet celebrates excellence in dance with thought provoking and impassioned performance. Rhoden and Richardson choreographed a new work for the last season of the US hit show So You Think You Can Dance which received rave reviews.

Complexions will present an exciting program combining stunning classical ballet skills, cutting edge contemporary dance moves and unbelievable physicality and strength.  The stunning program showcases the works: Gone - an astonishingly physical trio about brotherhood, conflict and survival accompanied by the stirring music of American folk singer Odetta, often described as the voice of the civil rights movement; Momentary Forevers featuring the unlikely musical collaboration of George Frideric Handel and John Cage; Moody Booty Blues - a short, sexy work for five dancers set against the electrifying American blues music of Muddy Waters and Stevie Ray Vaughan amongst others; Ave Maria - a touching neo-classical duet, and brand new works I Will Not Be Broken, Routines and Rise set to the powerful music of U2

Power, punch and pizzazz. For sheer exuberance, the dancers of "Complexions Contemporary Ballet" must hold the gold medal....The Age
