Dhafer Youssef - An inspirational singer and master of the Oud.

Following the sell out success of his performance with Jatinder Thakur & Divine Shadows Strings in 2007, Dhafer Youssef returns for one night only with a new line up featuring percussion, double bass and piano.

Described as an Oud virtuoso and inspirational singer Tunisian-born Dhafer creates hypnotic sounds that connect the ancient with the modern, the East with the West in an enticing fusion of culture.

Youssef draws on the evocative sound of his Islamic heritage, combining it with new directions in European jazz and "a voice that could stop wars" (Songlines) resulting in a music that is spiritual and reflective, passionate and exhilarating.
