This rare concert is exclusive to the Adelaide International Guitar Festival. It will feature the Brazilian Guitar Quartet, acclaimed internationally and in their homeland of Brazil. They will be joined with special guest Paul Galbraith (himself formerly a member of BGQ), a superb “A-list” guitarist. This extraordinary performance explores the music of JS Bach, the strong influence Bach had on Villa-Lobos, and the strong influence Villa-Lobos had, in turn, on later generations of Brazilian composers such as Guarnieri and Miranda.
Featuring
Brazilian Guitar Quartet - One of the world’s most sought after ensembles.
Paul Galbraith - A unique and exceptional 8-string classical player with an unorthodox playing style.
