Barely a week after Belle & Sebastian announced their return to Australia they have added three new shows to their March 2011 tour.
Having sold out one Melbourne show, a second and final date on Monday, March 14 at The Forum is now on sale, and new shows have been added in Perth and Adelaide!
It’s been a long wait for fans to delight in the delicious return of supremely talented Scottish combo Belle & Sebastian, since their last national tour nearly 5 years ago. The then 12-piece multi-instrumentalists gave brilliant and spellbinding performances, drawing standing ovations and rave reviews.
Australian audiences were finally able to experience the quirky musical magic that is Belle &Sebastian live, as familiar songs took on a new life, their emotional impact amplified way beyond recorded versions.
Forming in an all-night Glaswegian café, the band released their sensational debut ‘Tigermilk’ in 1996, followed soon after by the critically acclaimed ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’. Belle & Sebastian have since delivered many firm fan favourites including ‘The Boy With An Arab Strap’, ‘Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant’, the critical and commercial success ‘Dear Catastrophe
Waitress’ and 2006’s ‘The Life Pursuit’ featuring ‘Funny Little Frog’ and ‘The White Collar Boy’.
After a brief hiatus giving band members time to work on their diverse personal projects, their latest studio album ‘Write About Love’ sees a return of vintage Belle & Sebastian.
Don’t miss the Scottish charm, wit and sonic beauty that is Belle & Sebastian.
