Returning to Adelaide after performing last year in An Evening with Stephen Schwartz, Carrie Rawlings is a sublimely talented pianist/vocalist/songwriter who will take you on a whirlwind, emotional journey into diversity. Inspired by the beguiling, velvety tones of Karen Carpenter, the soul of Whitney Houston and the force that is Carole King, she’s also shaped by a family that’s half from Guyana and half from an English market town. Carrie will share her life’s laughter, joy and – occasionally – despair, and the music that’s echoed the trip.
