JACKSON BROWNE
NEW ALBUM AND AUSTRALIAN TOUR
INCLUDING ADELAIDE FESTIVAL THEATRE!
JACKSON BROWNE has been described as the ultimate LA singer-songwriter.
Over the course of three decades, he has continued to write and record songs that are passionately crafted and that resonate emotionally, politically and spiritually - songs that have touched the hearts and minds of countless fans worldwide.
On September 20, Jackson releases his 13th studio album "Time The Conqueror". It's his first new music in six years and, not surprisingly, is eagerly-awaited. The first single 'Off Of Wonderland' goes to radio on August 25.
Accompanying Jackson on the road is his band of fifteen years: Kevin McCormick (bass), Mark Goldenberg (guitars), Mauricio Lewak (drums) and Jeff Young (keyboards, backing vocals), plus vocalists Chavonne Morris and Alethea Mills. It will be his first tour here with his band in five years.
This line-up brings its incredible chemistry and collaborative energy to 'Time The Conqueror', produced by Jackson and Paul Dieter and released on Inside Recordings, the artist's own independent label (distributed in Australia by Shock Records).
With a brand new album to showcase, plus a career full of classic songs like 'Take It Easy', 'Running On Empty', 'Tender Is The Night', 'The Pretender', 'Load Out/Stay', 'Late For The Sky', 'Rock Me on The Water' and 'Doctor My Eyes' to draw from, Jackson is set to reaffirm why he is one of music's most influential and enduring artists.
TIM FREEDMAN is not only one of Australia's best singer/songwriters but also a charismatic live performer. He revels in the chance to perform solo on piano and is a valued addition to what is set to be a memorable night of great music.
Since his acclaimed 1972 self-titled debut album, JACKSON BROWNE has defined a genre of song-writing and performing that is charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He's been recognised with inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2004) and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame (2007), with recent humanitarian honours including the John Steinbeck Award and the Chapin-World Hunger Year Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award.
Jackson has always charted his own direction with poise and confidence, performing songs amongst the most literate and moving in popular music. He is quite simply an artist not to be missed!
