The 7th Annual Adelaide Cabaret Festival presents...
Australian PREMIER AND EXCLUSIVE
Maude Maggart is on an express ride to cabaret super-stardom as inevitable as it is amazing. This sultry, young chanteuse is the scion of a show-biz family: her love-struck grandparents were musicians in the 1930s; her parents wooed each other whilst working on Broadway, performing in Applause; and her younger sister is pop singer/songwriter, Fiona Apple.
Already, she’s sold out an extended engagement at the revered Algonquin Hotel and won a Tony for Special Achievement in a Cabaret as well as acted in a new film by Robert Downey Junior.
In this intimate and intense show, Maude explores the rich legacy of the Great American Songbook from Duke Ellington
to Irving Berlin.
“It is Maggart’s gorgeous voice that has made her the darling of the cabaret world... and the future of cabaret.”
