Jake Savona, a.k.a. Mista Savona, is one of Australia's leading exponents of root reggae, dancehall and heavyweight dub music.

Mista Savona and his band have been building up a serious fan base across the country since the release of his groundbreaking 2007 album, Melbourne meets Kingston, which features renowned Jamaican recording artists Anthony B, Big Youth and many others.

To this, he has added the intrumental and vocal skills of some of Australia's finest musicians, including members of Bomba, True Live and The Cruel Sea.

In 2009, Mista Savona brings with him a full 10 piece band, including a horn section, dancers and Melbourne vocalist Vida Sunshyne, whose credits include work with Nitin Sawhney and Lionel Richie.

Before arriving in Adelaide, they will be playing a series of shows around the country, including sharing the stage with Horace Andy of Massive Attack at Tasmania's Ten Days on the Island in March.

Support act:- Top Adelaide DJ Tr!p will warm up the crowd before the band hits the stage and will continue late into the night after the band has finished.

This performance will be co-presented by GreenRoom, Adelaide Festival Centre's program for under 25's. It will be a reggae, nightclub scenario with a licensed bar.
Limited seating will be available in the Piano Bar. There will be a large area free of seating for dancing and standing.

All patrons must bring ID (proof of age card/drivers licence). Patrons over 18 will be wrist-banded.
