The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra will open this performance with Ravel’s Rhapsodie Espagnole and Alborada del Gracioso setting the mood, and will conclude the concert with Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloe Suite No. 2. The concert will also showcase the multi-Grammy Award-winning genius of the Assads. Together with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra they will shine in an unhindered display of brilliance in Rodrigo’s exquisite Concierto Madrigal and the legendary tango king Astor Piazzolla’s sultry Argentinian version of The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. You will watch and listen in wonder.

There will also be a pre-show talk one hour prior to the show.

“No amount of anticipation could have prepared me for the Brazilian brothers’ daringly flexible, eerily unanimous ensemble playing – it was as if they were in each other’s heads.” The Washington Post

Sérgio Assad & Odair Assad with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
