The Adelaide Festival Centre and Adelaide International Guitar Festival is committed to providing high quality performance opportunities for young South Australian guitarists. Taking Flight is the culmination of months of rehearsing for selected groups of student musicians, and for many of these emerging artists this will be their first significant performance on stage in the ‘big house’ at the Adelaide Festival Centre. Join the students from a range of Adelaide primary and high schools as they strut their stuff and show you what the future holds. Featuring a special appearance by Artist In Residence, Jorma Kaukonen, and supported by SA guitar legend Chris Finnen and Adelaide Festival Centre’s CentrED program.
