Academy Award-winning composer Tan Dun will conduct the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra during Adelaide Festival Centre's 2012 OzAsia Festival, in scores to three of his most critically acclaimed martial arts films.

An Academy and Grammy award-winning composer and conductor, Tan Dun has made an indelible mark on the international music scene with a creative repertoire that spans from classical music to multimedia performances, of Eastern and Western traditions. As a composer/conductor, Tan Dun has led the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Berliner Philharmoniker, Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Filharmonica della Scala, Münchner Philharmoniker and the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, among others.
