125 Years of Music Making History
Treorchy Male Choir returns to Australia to celebrate its 125th Anniversary of music making history. Direct from a valley called the Rhondda, (Wales) comes the world renowned Treorchy Male Choir.
With over 60 singers on stage, Treorchy Male Choir has been hailed as the greatest male voice combination in the world.
“Treorchy is the Welsh male choir others try to imitate” - Sir Harry Secombe
To the present day Treorchy Male Choir has an unrivalled history. It was Queen Victoria’s favourite choir and it has since performed for Prime Ministers and Presidents, Archbishops and royalty, singers and film stars all over the world.
"There is nothing like the sound of a Welsh Male Choir and the Treorchy is the finest. They have represented the best of the Welsh voice for generations and are our international ambassadors." - Tom Jones
Treorchy became the first male choir to venture into the uncharted territory of popular music and collaboration. Alongside the works of Greig, Wagner and Verdi appear Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Stephen Sondheim, Paul Anka and John Lennon.
“As a Welshman that can’t sing, I never feel more proud to be Welsh than when I hear the Treorchy Male Choir – the Master Choir of them all.” - Sir Anthony Hopkins
