A story about identity and loss and the slippery nature of truth

The Pyjama Girl is inspired by the true Australian story of a murdered woman whose body, clad in yellow silk pyjamas was found in Albury, NSW in 1934.

Known only as the Pyjama Girl she would not be identified for a decade. The mystery captivated the Australian public and has become a modern myth.

We know nothing of who the Pyjama Girl really was or how she lived, and somehow because of this she lives on in our culture. Despite the existence of factual information - there are countless versions of events, some bordering on the bizarre.

Ladykillers reveal the essence of this story about identity and loss and the slippery nature of truth. Alfred Hitchcock and film noir influenced, The Pyjama Girl is moving, at times disturbing and blackly funny.

"Evocative, engaging, curious and compelling. Ladykillers make memorable theatre of extraordinary quality."

This work is suitable for patrons aged 14 years and above.
