In Ngukurr, South East Arnhem Land, land is still intimately understood by the songlines that describe it. The importance of the Wata (wind) is never far from peoples' minds as they paint and sing to announce its arrival. Through photographs, paintings, maps, film and stories, this exhibition charts the ancestral importance of the wind that keeps culture alive at Ngukurr.

Curated by Simon Normand with works by artists and song men from Ngukurr, South East Arnhem Land and Simon Normand, Victoria.
