ADELAIDE INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL TO BECOME BIENNIAL
Douglas Gautier together with recently appointed Festival Artistic Director, Slava Grigoryan have announced that the Adelaide International Guitar Festival will become a biennial event with the next Festival to be held in November 2010.
“It was a great honour for me to be asked to direct a festival, with the guitar at its heart. The extra year will enable me to create a program that enhances the local, national and international appeal of the Festival,” Slava said.
“More planning and lead time will also help us to secure artists and projects which really excite audiences, partners and sponsors. While playing and touring I will continue to meet with the key people around the world to get them excited and interested in the Festival, as I have been doing since I accepted the artistic leadership role,” he said.
The Festival will take place from the last week of November 2010 with full program details and artist line-ups to be announced by late August 2010.
