Songs from the Divine Wilderness

The rich textures of the guitar and violin intertwine in this new collaboration between guitarist/composer Anthony Garcia and internationally acclaimed violinist Niki Vasilakis.

The centrepiece of the program will be the world premiere of Garcia's Songs from the Divine Wilderness. Garcia's unique compostitional voice transcends many genres and is showcased in a series of solo and duo works.

The musical landscape of this compostion spans the length and breadth of these instruments' tonal worlds, forming a passionate dance through five movements. The souls of the guitar and violin combine to retell ancient stories in a contemporary way.
