This extraordinary Costume and Set Design Collection boasts more than one thousand original renderings and over a hundred models from the best local, Australian and international designers. With over eighty years of design history, representing every genre of live performance, these designs give an amazing illustrative glimpse into South Australia’s performing arts history.

Costume renderings not only demonstrate the designer's drawing skills but also their creativity, expertise and vision in transforming their two-dimensional designs into three-dimensional costumes. The Collection holds examples from distinguished names such Sainthill, Goodchild, Rowell, Moisewitsch, Moore, Kirk and Arrighi who show their creative processes when interpretating characters through costumes for the stage.
