In school workshops and Event
OzAsia Festival’s Moon Lantern Parade has been embraced by schools and communities as an annual calendar highlight. School participation in lantern making workshops and the festival’s parade provides the opportunity for genuine integration of the Australian Curriculum’s cross-curriculum priority of Asia & Australia’s Engagement with Asia.
Want to be a part of the Moon Lantern Parade in 2019?
Our OzAsia teaching artists will visit selected participating schools to run lantern workshops in Term 3, leading up to Moon Lantern Parade. Together with your school’s teachers and parent volunteers, artists will lead students in creating lanterns that they will then carry in the festival’s Moon Lantern Parade!
