OzAsia Festival’s Moon Lantern Parade has been embraced by schools and communities as an annual calendar highlight. School participation in lantern making workshops and the festival’s parade provides the opportunity for genuine integration of the Australian Curriculum’s cross-curriculum priority of Asia & Australia’s Engagement with Asia.

Australian Curriculum: English, The Arts, HASS, Technologies, Science, Mathematics, Intercultural Understanding, Critical & Creative Thinking, Asia & Australia’s Engagement with Asia.

Schools participating in the 2019 OzAsia Festival Moon Lantern School Workshop and Parade Program are: Ascot Park Primary School, Coorara Primary School, Hallett Cove R-12, Mitcham Primary School, Modbury West Primary School, Mount Barker Primary School, Plympton International College and Wallaroo Primary School.

Expressions of interest for the 2020 program will open in Term 1 2020.
