Since 2018, Adelaide Festival Centre has presented the Moving Image Program.
The program invites artists to submit existing or new moving image artworks for display on the large screens near the Festival Theatre's King William Road entrance.
Key information
- Successful submissions receive an artist fee of $500
- Each work is displayed for 1 month on the digital screens and artist statements are archived on our website
- Applications are open year round and accepted on a rolling basis
FAQs
Works should be:
- Under 5 minutes long
- A standard landscape video (16:9)
- .mp4 is preferred
- Under 200MB
Our team will then reformat the video to fit the screens.

The King William Road screens are also shared with commercial content. We recommend that works be less than 5 minutes long to be to ensure that the work is screened at regular intervals.
Artists are welcome to have their work photographed when it is screening. As we may have shows in venue, we recommend artists to contact our team before organising a photographer to avoid disappointment.
