This exhibition celebrates 50 years since the much-anticipated completion of Stage Two: the Drama Centre.
1974: Stage Two exhibition celebrates the Drama Centre as an incredible hub of creative energy and output, fostering Australian and local actors, creatives, and artists. State Theatre Company, Australian Dance Theatre, New Opera, Flinders Drama Centre, and Australian Performing Group (Pram Factory) were the first to perform in the Playhouse and Space Theatre. They performed experimental and Australian works and, launching the careers of many well-known names such as Robyn Archer, Judy Davis, Colin Friels and Michael Pearce. See objects, costumes, and designs from these well-known actors plus other memorabilia from the past 50 years. All items on display are part of the Performing Arts Collection, Adelaide Festival Centre.

The Galleries is one large gallery that runs alongside the Festival Theatre Foyer and can cater to cocktail functions for up to 600 guests or sectioned into three intimate spaces for smaller events.
The Galleries can be accessed externally via the new Festival Theatre King William Road Entrance.
