The Adelaide Festival Centre is extremely proud to present OUR MOB and OUR YOUNG MOB, which provides First Nations artists from all over South Australia with the opportunity to showcase their art and culture at South Australia’s premier arts facility. OUR MOB is held in the spirit of reconciliation to demonstrate the power of art in bringing together diverse peoples in harmony with a common goal.

OUR MOB began in 2006 and engages the public with reconciliation and inter-cultural understanding. Every place has a story, and OUR MOB allows South Australia’s First Nation artists to create visual expressions of their own narratives in a collective display. A multi-faceted project with a visual art exhibition at its core, OUR MOB immerses the public as well as artists, students, and arts workers, in a unique and outstanding exhibition of First Nations art across a diverse range of media.

Although being driven by Adelaide Festival Centre, OUR MOB is dependent on key arts organisations across the state who collaborate with First Nations artists far and wide, as well as partners in the arts industry and regional and remote arts organisations that bring First Nations artists together in a professionally presented annual exhibition and celebrations. Through OUR MOB we can track the emergence and development of new and exciting arts activities and come to know the work of individual artists.
