inSPACE Development Program 2023 Expressions of Interest

Be part of the inSPACE Development Program in 2023. Experience contemporary new work being developed by some of South Australia’s most innovative performing artists and creatives.

Are you a creator of contemporary and original theatre, dance, music, visual arts or interdisciplinary work? Does your work require support to reach the next stage of its development?

Established in 2002 and celebrating it's 20th anniversary in 2022, Adelaide Festival Centre’s inSPACE Development Program is an incubator of cutting-edge, grassroots, innovative work that supports some of South Australia’s most talented, independent artists.

inSPACE provides a unique opportunity for contemporary and innovative theatre, dance and hybrid performance artists to access venues and services within Adelaide Festival Centre. Each artist or group chosen for the annual development program is provided with 1–3 weeks in-kind rehearsal (including a provision for technical hire). In addition to this in-kind support, designated funds will be provided to artist/company wages. As an outcome of the residency, two work-in-progress showings are presented to an invited audience at the end of each inSPACE development.

Expressions of interest for the 2022 inSPACE program open 25 March 2022 and will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 22 May ACST, with applicants being notified by Friday 10 June 2021.
