Adelaide Symphony Orchestra

The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra is the largest performing arts organisation in South Australia and each year, performs over 100 concerts across a diverse musical spectrum.

Since 1936 the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra has contributed to South Australia’s identity.

Adding to our State’s cultural and economic vibrancy, the ASO has enriched local communities with world-class performances, transformative education projects for young people, and community programs, ensuring that people from all walks of life have the opportunity to hear live orchestral music.

The ASO also provides orchestral support for the State Opera of South Australia and performances by The Australian Ballet and Opera Australia, and is the most prolific contributor to the Adelaide Festival.
