A poet-in-schools opportunity for First Nations students.

centrED’s inaugural OUR YOUNG WORDS Poet in Schools workshops will be facilitated by Dominic Guerrera. Taking place as two two-hour workshops run over consecutive days, the workshops aim to encourage young people to express themselves and their thoughts through poetry in a fun and safe environment that aims to build students’ confidence in self-expression.

Workshop 1 will focus on constructing the poem’s themes and words. With Workshop 2 concentrating on final edits and audio recording of the poem.

Audio recordings from the workshops will be shared as a part of OUR WORDS First Nations poetry and literature event.
