Exhibition opening
Applications are now closed. Young Plant Carers will feature in the Children’s Artspace at Adelaide Festival Centre from 5 April - 25 May '24.
Attention all schools with native gardens or plant care programs!
There are lots of actions people can take to look after our native plants, but how do people care about plants if they don't know much about them? Don’t miss this special opportunity for students to get to know plants with local artist Louise Flaherty.
Throughout her artist in schools residency in Term 1 2024, Louise will work with Junior Primary students from multiple schools and Secondary students from one school. Students will explore native plants local to the school area, learning about their connection to the area as well as plant care and conservation through drawing.
Artworks produced in this artist in schools’ program will form part of Young Plant Carers, a professional exhibition at Adelaide Festival Centre’s Children’s Artspace from 5 April - 25 May '24.
